GAH! Never have I thought that I would be annoyed by having a smart cat...
Boots, at 6 months of age next week, has figured out (today!) how to open cabinet doors AND pop the lid on the trash can. Yes, the trash can I bought to keep him from getting into the old lidless trash can.

For the cabinets, he first figured out how to sit on the floor and open the lower ones. Then, he figured out how to get on top of the upper ones (there's a space between the tops of them and the ceiling), lay down on them, open the doors with his paws, and jump in. The lower ones are troublesome because I've had to move all the cleaning chemicals, and the upper ones are troublesome because that's where I keep his most favorite of favorite treats, the white bread.
As for the trash can, he jumps onto the lid itself, and then in the jump from the trash can lid to the counter, uses his back feet to press the pop button. Then he jumps down and eats from the trash can.

I love my baby Bootsy... but in the first thread I posted pictures of him in here on TCS, the posters all had one thing to say about him, and they were right: "I see mischief in his eyes!!!"

You really have to tug on them to get them open. The baby locks worked for a day or so, but then he started breaking them.
