kitten panting

Hi guys,

I have a kitten who is about 5-6 months old. Over the past month or so i've noticed him start to pant at times with his mouth open and his tongue out (just like a dog). The first time it happened was in a car and i've been told cats can pant when they are in stress so i thought this was fine.

Recently when i play with him sometimes (he likes to play fetch) he starts to pant after moderate activity, (maybe throwing the toy about 20 times). He seems fine and wants to keep playing but i always stop him at this point.

Is it normal for kittens to pant like this? Should i get him checked out at the vet?

He had a very bad URI when he was young and was very congested. Im worried it might have something to do with his nasal passages being blocked because he snores a lot too. He was recently desexed and the vet didnt mention anything...

Thanks for your help! :)

If I were you I'd get him thoroughly checked out. It could be nothing, but then again it could be his heart, allergies, etc..
