Just thought I'd pass along this information for anyone that doesn't know and feeds this food.

Did you know that you can feed cats the Nature's Variety Instinct "Dog" food to cats? It's the exact same thing (and contains taurine), just in larger packaging.

The 5.5 oz cans of "cat" food sell for around $2 (36 cents/oz), where as the 13.2 oz cans of "dog" food are around $3 (23 cents/oz), buy in bulk and you often save more.

You can only do this with the canned Instinct varieties of the food, they actually used to have a picture of a dog and a cat on the packaging, but cat owners were reluctant to feed a product with a dog on the can.

YES - and thank you for bringing that up. I do feed some wet varieties of Instinct to my cat's and my two older dogs. Ingredient for ingredient, they are exactly the same

I just started working for the company and learned it last weekend during one of my training demonstrations, it's great! I can feed the dachshunds and the cat from one can for a meal and a bit.

There was also just a coupon a few weeks ago for buy 3 cans get one free, I think you can still email them and get it if you missed it.

Yeah now if only my cat would eat the actual food instead of just licking up the juice from the Instinct canned foods, this could actually save me some money. ;)
