While I was sleeping last night, my little panther Isis, stood watch...

waiting for an unsuspecting invader to enter her territory.

When I got up this morning, sure enough, I spotted a little black splotch on the carpet.

Yes! Isis has done her job well. Another spider was history.

If spiders could read, I would put a sign on the door...

Beware, all who enter, Isis is watching!

Do you have a watch cat in your home who protects you from  nighttime invaders?

Parker is only interested in big flying insects, which we don't exactly get a ton of.
Buddy catches house flies but really only plays with crawlies. I so need a cat who eats spiders!!!

Chacho is obsessed with moths and is curious about spiders but he absolutelty hates common black (ground) beetles. This area in Kansas have these black beetles that range from being tiny to huge. I know at this hotel that I work at now, and at the other hotel I use to work at, they always come in through the front door during the right season it feels like I do nothing but squish these guys at work.   One or two will also sneak in through the door to our apartment and I don't know if they have a bitter smell that Chacho doesn't like but he'll pretty much totally avoid the buggers. When he first sees one, he'll run over to it but after smelling it, he makes a squinty face and back away and leave it alone.

I no longer have bugs or four legged invadors either.

BUT they don't like box elder bugs. They taste awful.

Flies are their fav and my worse. Flying cats into the TV screen, blinds riped to shreds.

One time there was something in the ductwork They all took their posts and waited for it to surfuse.

I don't know what happened, I went to bed.

I would love to have a camera to  record what our cats do while we are sleeping....

I know my cats do stuff at night. The dog runs into my room to try to tell me while I sleep. I have learned to ignore.

Too bad I have no video camera. I could win that free subscription for sure.

When we lived in Ft Lauderdale we had lizzards around the house.  Heaven forbid that one would enter the house.   They ended up without a tail or without a head.

We always tried to save them before the cats did their damage, but not all survived.
