Question of the Day: Thurs. Dec.1

Thread Starter

My daughter's semi dance is coming up, tomorrow.... which has inspired todays question.

Can you dance? What kind of dancing?

When you were in school did you go to any dances?

LOL, I enjoy dancing at parties but truthfully I'm no good at all. lol2.gif

I took ballet for many years as a kid. I guess I can still do THAT, however, the only time I believe I can dance at a party is after having a few, ahem, adult beverages. I've seen videos. I cannot dance.

I like it but only when I have a few drinks in me, I am an awkward dancer..lol

I used to go to all the dances at school though.

DH and I will dance at weddings, but he gets really aggrevated at me because I always try to lead. He really has horrible rhythm, so it throws me off when I follow him. We're both Polish, so when we do attempt to polka (which we do at every family wedding), it looks like a wrestling match. laughing02.gif

Been there, done that. I think its a polka, a happy dance, 'Roll out The Barrel', not 'Unchained Melody' !

Nope, can't dance at all. I try to stay away from dances!

I would probably be an ok dancer if I wasn't self conscious about it.  DD and I boogie all the time!  laughing02.gif

I will dance to whatever is on; but no headbanging/jumping all over.  That's not dancing.  Come to think of it; that's probably the best kind of "dancing" for me! wink.gif

DH and I have danced together a total of 3 times. And 2 were at our wedding.

I took dance lessons for about 5 years when I was a kid.  4 years were Jazz, the first was ballet and tap.  My step-father is Puerto Rican, so any get together with his family usually involves Latin music and dancing.  I don't participate.  DH would never even consider it.

I went to most of the dances in high school.  We only ever had Homecoming and Prom though.  I think I only missed one Homecoming.  I only ever had a date for my senior prom though.  I still wish I'd just gone with my friends like before.  It was always more fun.

I took ballroom and swing lessons.

I would have been scorned by my brother otherwise, as he was a Fred Astaire dance instructor and competition dancer.

I went to one school dance and was a wallflower, never went to another, I have a hard time spending money on something just to be bored.

The only dancing I do is when I'm drunk....laughing02.gif

If you see me dancing, you know Im loaded!

I had many kinds of dance lessons when I was growing up, ballet, ballroom,  but my favorite was the foreign dances of different kinds. I was also in a theater company, so we had to learn Scottish, gypsy, and folk dances.

I have become very clumsy in my old age, but DH and I sometimes listen to music and slow dance in the living room. He's so sweet and romantic. dance.gif
