HI all,

Woke up and discovered some blood from Picasso's rear end. It was thick and sticky (not to be gross, but like period), in which I cleaned up. There wasn't much, a string of it (which i thought was a piece of my red carpet.. imagine my disgust when I tried to remove it with my fingers!)

She's eating and running around, not acting differently or anything. Boxes looks clean with solid poo, but it's hard to tell which belongs to who with two cats.

I am going to keep an eye on on her before I call the vet. she might've somehow constipated and cut herself, but I'd like some insight on what it could be if it persists?

Truthfully hun, it is fairly common, and can happen with something as simple as a really solid poo. If she is eating well and acting normal, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on her.

thanks for the reply! I wasn't really too worried when she was eating and playing and box looked normal. But I will certainly keep an eye on her.

Yep, Pipsqueak gets that once in awhile too. Especially if his poops were very hard. If it were to keep up over the next few day - then I would check with the vet. But not to worry, if it is just once in awhile. ;)
