ads make it impossible to navigate to my profile

Here is the ad i get on most pages, perfectly placed to block me from going to my profile or editing anything. The ad is worse when the page isn't full screen, and I have to imagine it's even worse if you run a lower level of graphics.

It's the "curiosity killed the cat" catgenie banner.

That is inconvenient, but there's another way to get to your profile. If you mouse over your username, you'll get a drop-down with a link to your profile. There's also a link in the red bar at the bottom of every page.

Strange. I use Mozilla Firefox like you do, but do not see any ads here or any other site I go to.

Do you perhaps have an ad blocker, one that many people use, including myself, is Adblock Plus, I recommend it for anyone using Mozilla Firefox.

Yes.  As part of my agreement with my telephone/internet provider, I have to use one.  A few years ago I found myself in a situation where for some reason I couldn't send or receive any email.  When I called the phone company, they told me that my email privileges had been revoked because I was sending out thousands of emails. I wasn't.

They gave me a list of things to do to rid my computer of adware/spyware, and once I finished the list, they gave me back email privileges. I didn't have a computer virus, but my computer was riddled with all sorts of adware and spyware, which was in turn sending out the mailings.  So while I know they aren't monitoring my computer themselves,  I enjoy my email privileges and don't want them revoked again, so I continue to use an adblocker, together with  a malware finding program which I run twice a week.
