How sad - I do know of some of her book's. 
I just saw the notice on my book club site. I think I've read every book she ever wrote. So sad we won't be getting any more. I like the ones her son has written, too, but it's just not the same.
I'm sorry, too. I wonder if she had been in ill health for awhile now because the last few Pern books were written by her and her son. I love the Pern series.
