Thanksgiving --- and now packing!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.  We went to our niece (actually my nephew's soon-to-be ex-wife).  It's a nasty, messy divorce, but Patti now has a wonderful new man in her life (I think I told you before).  She made a nice dinner, not only turkey, but a rib roast also.   The kids were there and it was so nice seeing them.  They're 8 and 6 (Leila is 8 and Julian is 6).

Now we're packing for our  cruise next Saturday.  I know it sounds early, but we just do everything way in advance.   We always bring too much with us, but I'd rather have extra than have something get ripped, stained, etc.     Kitties are jumping all around and in and out of the suitcases.     Going for a pedicure on Monday and some last minute shopping.

We stayed away from stores on black Friday and this weekend also.   I love shopping but could never handle the crazy shoppers and crowds on Black Friday.     It always gets out of hand and the bargains just aren't worth it.

Just relaxing at home today --- tonight on PBS they have Andrew Boccelli's Christmas show.  Did anyone see it last year?      Is anyone else a big fan like we are.   He has the most amazing voice and the sweetest personality.  I'd just love to see him in person someday.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Pam, when Patti first posted pictures of her new boyfriend on Facebook I think we pre-judged him.   Hate to admit this, but I looked at the 59 year old riding a motorcycle and thought "oh no".     Shows you can't jump to conclusions.     He's a great guy (I think he's nicer than our nephew Scott, as he has no pumped up ego attitudes).    I hope Patti has turned her life around.   She's gotten very involved in her church, which is probably good for her.  Now she wants to stop smoking - and I think she doesn't drink as much as she used to.  Like I said, she was no angel, but I think (hope) her life is on track now.   She hugged me when we left and said "I'm so happy to have you guys in my life".
