So, I got my 7 month kitten spayed on Monday 11/21. They had to do a bigger incision because she was in heat. They told us to watch for swelling, inflammation, and discharge. They also gave us one pain pill to give her the next morning if she was in pain. She didn't eat or drink at all when we brought her home on Monday the 21st. The next morning, she wasn't acting herself so we went ahead and gave her the pill. We left the house for about an hour and came home and she was bright eyed and acting normal. She started eating and drinking and acted normal all day Tuesday the 22nd. She seemed really tired this morning before we left for work. We checked her incision and it looked fine. So, we went to work and came home and we noticed she looks really skinny. She isn't acting normal (which is really hyper and running around everywhere). Then, she threw up. The throw up was mainly foamy water and a couple of chunks of wet food. When I gave her her normal can of wet food, she licked the top of it and walked away. Normally, she dives right in. I called the clinic where I got her spayed and left them a message. I'm worried about my baby. Is there any advice anyone can offer? I'm scared she's going to worse and with it being Thanksgiving- I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to give her the help she needs fast enough. She might bounce back fine and I'm overly worrying, but I want advice just in case. Her incision still looks great.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Thanks. She had Fancy Feast sitting in her bowl that I offered her when I got home... She just licked it and walked away. I just offered her a can of tuna... She ate about three bites and walked away. I offered her some all beef bologna, but she just smelled it and licked it. I tried shredded deli turkey, but she wasn't interested in that either. I tried treats too. Also, I just offered her some catnip which she actually took two bites of and then rolled around in the floor. I'm hoping it will help her feel a little better.

But I think it's a good sign she responded to the catnip. Hopefully she'll be feeling better tomorrow.

If she's not feeling any better, please call your vet again and see if you can take her in to be seen. I hope she'll be feeling much better today and that she feels more like eating something.
This may sound silly, but when we can't get a kitty to eat, we'll try baby food. Only the pureed meat baby food. We'll mix it with just a little warm water, so that she can at least lick at it. Sometimes that helps.
Good luck!
