Hello everyone,

My name is Paulina, happy owner of 3, and I need help with one of my university projects.

I need to research market for my idea, so please answer this simple question:

WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN THIS:

A low price, simple pattern or plain colour cardboard box for your cat?

From my experience my cats just don't buy into the whole 'cat house idea' and just end up sitting in the box in came in.

So my flat is filled with ex-crisps boxes and such, which just does not look good when people come around.

I tried painting over and glueing fancy wallpaper on the box - cats hate it, the smell of adhesive or paint makes them not want to sit in the box anymore.

So I thought if I could just go and buy a nice looking cardboard box that would match my firniture, that would be purrfect.

Please tell me what you think about that?

thanks,

p.

I don't like cardboard in the house, it's like cinder-block bookshelves - too "college days." MAYBE if it's a nice pattern I would consider it, but how would you clean it? I guess you just replace it? Paper is better than plastic I guess, but I like removable fabric covers the most because I can wash them.

There's no place like home
My crew has told me what their favorite shape of box is: the ones you can get at Home Depot from the paint department. The box holds 4 gallons of paint and the sides are about 5 inches tall. Rather than decorating the box, I've considered making a padded cloth cover for it so that I can wash the cover and just replace the box when it gets worn.

I wouldn't pay for a box that is already decorated. Cats destroy them too quickly and it's too easy to find boxes for free.
