Your Favourite Christmas Carol

Thread Starter

This question is directed to those who celebrate Chritmas.

What is your favourite Christmas Carol?  Please go to YouTube and search out a video, so that we don't just see the name and imagine the song, but can actually play it.

Mine is "Oh Holy Night". I've heard a lot of versions, but the one by Anne Murray (a Canadian singer) is my absolute favourite.Probably because she sings at my pitch and I can actually hit the notes in the song.

This has been my favorite Christmas song since I was just a little girl and it always brings a tear to my eye.

Easier to say what I don't like as I am quite fond of all of them but Go Tell It on the Mountain. However, this one is a particular favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK6zlHG_NSA

This song, no kidding, is one of the highlights of my Christmas every year. NOBODY sings it like Vanessa Williams! This is the only version I can find, with someone's Christmas lights.

Hope you enjoy it.

"God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" has always been my favorite, preferably sung by a men's or boy's choir.

It just gets to me.

I LOVE this song: Gabriel's Message, performed by Sting  http://youtu.be/aWvIC3OR7wk

I tried to find a good video version of John Lennon's Happy Xmas/War is Over on youtube, but most of them are awful.  Another favorite, tho.

Love Judy Garland's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,  O Holy Night, and I'll be Home for Christmas.

Of course, tastes vary.  That song would be on my list in that other thread, "Songs You Can't Stand to  Hear."   ;)

But I am not sure if it's really a Christmas carol. I like it because of the Whiskas commercial.

I tell you a creepy song lol "Do you hear what I hear"...

The wind talks to sheep

The sheep talks to the boy......... Someone has been out in the field too long if he is hearing sheep and wind talk lol

And "A child a child shivers in the cold, let us bring him silver and gold". - Why not a blanket, why not some soup?

LOL don't mean to offend anyone who likes this song. It's just strange to me!!
