I hope someone can help me?

I have attached a picture of our little (big) man. I am from Australia and i have been looking for pictures of breeds that my cat might be. He is a real mixture and the Maine Coon is the closest i have come to. His temprement is exactly the same from what i have read. He does the little chirp/ trill when he is happy and is a very quiet cat. He is just on 1 years old and he weighs about 5 to 6 kilos. He is not a fat cat just very big boned and muscular. Would anyone be able to help me out and let me know if he is a Maine Coon?

Thanks

There was a cat at the shelter that I adopted Morrell from that looked just like the one you posted. He was a Maine Coon mix. . . his name was Mr. Smith.

We thought he was just a normal domestic tabby, but i decided to do some cat pictures viewing and came accross some breeds that he looked very similar too and the Maine Coon was the closest. Is it normal to have a Maine Coon within Australia?

We got him from a shelter too hence why we do not know what breed he actually is..

Toes is a Maine Coon mix. If you look at his pictures you can see a ruff around his neck. Yours looks more like a Norwegian Forest Cat because the ruff goes down his chest. The coloring is right too. He's one heck of a gorgeous guy, though! Do you have people calling him a she because he's so beautiful? People do that to Toes all the time.

Does he have long fur in between his paw pads? That is typical of any of the northern breeds because it makes their paws like snow shoes. Both Maine Coons and Norwegian Forest Cats have that.

With those green eyes and green thing round his neck - he is from a place with a double barrelled name -
Radio - Activity.
He is a breed called "geiger counter" and you will find that he dont purr - when he gets excited, the ticking as the counter within him gets faster.

Personally - I would leave the room !

Kev - tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, tic

cute cat by the way

LOL Kev

Actually yes he does have long hair in between his paw pads, it is long and the hair is black.. he hates it cause i always play with it.. lol

He is a hard one to work out, he just resembles a few too many different breeds to work out exactly what he is..

Thank you all for your help though, it is very much appreciated..

What would his other mix be? Could it be plain tabby??

We actually thought he might be tabby + Tortiseshell, + persian but the Maine Coon is exactly what he looks like with the long hair between his paws.. His tail looks like a Racoon's, tis very cute..
