Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Some of us love winter, some of us hate winter, some of us don't have winter! Regardless of whether or not you're north or south, what are your favorite winter activities?

My favourite winter activities?  Snuggling up in bed under my electric blanket and either sleeping or watching television.

I can bearly stand to go from building to car and car to building. In fact I spend as little time outside in the winter that I possibly can. I even reduce the number of times I go shopping for food because I stock up on things like canned goods, cat food/litter and non perishable stuff during the warmer months. And I also stock my freezer before winter hits.

I love to go sledding!!! Indiana isn't a completely flat state. There's some wonderful hills around here, Ten minutes to climb the hill and 6 seconds to reach the bottom

Tobogganing.  Especially sliding on things that aren't meant to be slid on.  Last year, my friends and I found and old couch lying around.  We took it to the top of a hill and slid down on it.  There were 9 of us on it
.  When we got to the bottom, we looked like we had been in a car wreck.

Ice skating, although I am not very good, but I do love it. My daughter skated for many years when she was younger and I always envied her talent. She was very good. I have good balance but can only go straight and have to be careful with the turns :lol2:. I also love to go sledding :D :D. I do enjoy the winter months and the colder weather.

I used to LOVE playing in the snow when i lived up north. Now I dont really have designated "winter activities" because the weather is crazy here in SC ...

Really miss making huge piles of snow and jumping in them or making snow angels.

Over the river and through the woods...
Taking my dogs for a walk and playing with them in the snow. It's only fun when it's still coming down though. Everything is so quiet and peaceful then (except for the dogs of course). I'm a big kid when it comes to snow, if I don't have to go anywhere. I still love snowmen and snowball fights. And there is nothing like leaving your footprints in pristine snow. But I HATE shoveling! And plowing and driving in the crap.

For sports? Well, I tried skiing twice and almost ended up in the hospital both times (the first time I probably did have a concussion....and it was on the bunny slope!) so I try to avoid anything sports-like for self preservation. I wouldn't mind tubing though. And I always wanted to go horseback riding in the snow.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Watching Df stack wood. LOL Im not a winter person and add cold and wet together and you have something that will keep me inside and far away from a door.

I do love watching Franklin in his coat playing in the snow...the deeper the more he loves it. Im going to make him booties for this year so he can play outside a bit longer than normal.

Making it from point a to point b without an accident. Actually, I do enjoy sledding in the hollow next door to my property, I used to like skiing, and I ice skated for many years when I was younger-now it's too expensive!!

I don't like to be really cold, so any activity is done where I can come in and get warm, then go back out.

Walking. Rick and I love to walk when the snow is falling and the wind is not gusting and everything is so quiet you can almost hear the snow fall.

Other than that? Cuddled up in bed with the cats, drinking a cup of hot chocolate and reading a good book. (Not overly fond of winter around here.)
