And not only that, a whole slew of wild cats roaming by the cam!  Lucky!!!

 

 

BTW, the marbled cat would definitely win our "longest tail" contest!

That sure looks like a "Clouded Leopard".  Where did you take that picture?  Wasn't a zoo, was it??

A marbled cat is closely related to a clouded leopard and I don't think Duncan filmed it, if you move your cursor over the video, its from the national geographic channel.   As far as the camera goes, its one of the motion activated cameras.  Conservationists and researchers use them all the time to help catch the more rare and elusive animals to help see how many of that species are in that area. 

 

There was a group of scientists that did something similar for tigers in an area where they were thought to be completely gone from. They ended up finding 8 separate tigers in that area which was amazing considering the small range, though they said that all the tigers were probably a mother and her offspring since tiger cubs can sometimes stay with their mothers well into adulthood. Well at least the daughters usually stick around, males need to get their own territories and mates usually drives them to leave their mothers.
