I love to make bulletin boards for my class... sometimes I get a bit carried away. This year I decided to do a nativity scene.. I have 3 year olds so I wanted it to be kids... I found a scrapbooking page with these characters so I borrowed the idea...

It's an adorable bulletin board! They will love it.

I taught 3-year-olds with language delays in Texas, and we were not allowed to bring religion into the holidays in the public schools. Here in Canada, though, the kids sing songs about Jesus and do nativity scenes every year; I'm not Christian but I like that everyone isn't uptight about letting the kids sing "Silent Night" at the Christmas concerts, lol.

We are a private center, so we can do as we wish... the owner of the center is very religious, but it isn't pushed upon anyone. I've done just about everything in the 10 years I've been there, so I thought it was about time for something new.

That is adorable!!!  I love doing stuff like that!  I still remember in 6th grade our homeroom teacher had 2 boards in his room.  He let the girls do one and the boys the other.  The girls board ended up being a super cute, elaborate winter scene.  The boys...I think they drew and cut out some basketballs, footballs, etc.... and that was it.  I wish I had a picture!  But I actually have the snowman that I made to put on it.  I took it down when it was time to take that board down.  I used to put it up with my decorations in my room every year till I got married and moved out.

My Mom worked at a daycare center a few years ago.  They couldn't even do Indians and pilgrims for Thanksgiving!!  I think they did turkeys.  Guess no one cares if it offends turkeys.
