I like "outer space" documentaries. The problem is that watching all the stars and planets causes me to fall asleep about 3/4 of the show! It's not because I get bored but I think the images are hypnotizing.

But I also find documentaries about human behavior very interesting. Those do not make me fall asleep!

Over the river and through the woods...
I can get wrapped up in any documentary dealing with history, animals or science (as long as it isn't over my head). I'm not really interested in people documentaries though, or anything to do with sports.

I love to watch documentaries on world culture. I love to travel, so watching these always give me new ideas on places to visit.

DH and I watch documentaries more often than everything else combined. The only types of documentaries I don't much care for are those involving space (DH loves those). Give me an interesting topic where I can learn something, and I watch it.

One of my all time favorites was one where they studied the behavior of lion prides / coalitions then compared them to feral cat colonies. I then looked around my house and realized that it's very similar to a lion coalition (the male version of a pride), then looked at my feral colony and realized that it was like a lion pride. It gave me one of the biggest aha moments of cat behavior that I've ever had. Did you know that domestic cats, behaviorally, are most closely related to lions behaviorally?
