I feed my cats almost exclusively grain free wet food. It's about 90 % wet and 10 % dry. One cat grooms a lot and gets hairballs. My question is - would more dry food help hairballs to pass through his digestive tract instead of coughing them up? I have read the posts about wet vs. dry, I am only asking if dry food fiber would help with hairballs. Thanks for your thoughts.

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

The answer is no, it won't. In fact, it's likely to create more shedding and therefore exacerbate your problem. Your two best options, as I see it, are to remove the remaining kibble and to brush your cats daily with a good hair comb or de-shedding tool. The most popular tool, based solely on reviews I've read here on TCS, is the Furminator.

Thanks for your info. I have been leaning towards an all wet diet.
