Cat agility competitions!

Oh, man, this article made my night.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/19/sports/in-feline-agility-competitions-the-biggest-obstacle-can-be-the-cat.html?pagewanted=all&src=ISMR_AP_LO_MST_FB

"It is a sport in which the contestants sometimes lie down in the middle of the field, unmotivated and bemused."

There are some all-cat "circuses" that prove it's not impossible to train cats, but I can see where some agility contestants might not be too cooperative at times.

What a cat CAN do and what you can MAKE them do are two entirely different things!  laughing02.gif

BTW, so twice now the top attachment that covers the blinds assembly (whatever those are called) had fallen on the floor.   I put it back on, and it seems very secure, I just couldn't figure it out.

Finally yesterday I saw Wesley on my top bedroom window, which is over 8 feet off the ground!!!   Found out he jumps onto the bed, then onto the narrow backboard, then up and over in a tremendous leap up to that ledge.    But he can't get down the same way he gets up, so he perches his front feet on the cover that keeps falling off to make the jump down to the carpet softer and it apparently doesn't bear his weight sometimes!   Annoying but IMPRESSIVE, as I had no idea cats could jump that far!!!   biggrin.gif
