I'm getting my power shut off in a couple hours. Unfortunately I haven't been able to pay my bill in a few months and have exhausted their patience.

I've had offers from my co-workers to come stay with them--"but don't bring your cat."

OK, let me just cut my Heart out and leave that here too. Not gonna happen!

I have a couple more friends to call, and my computer is charged up for a while.. So we'll see, BUT if I'm MIA for a while let me wish ALL of you a happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!

And I will be back for New Years

Oh, no. Good luck - I hope you manage to get it worked out asap.

I hope you can straighten things out soon.     Can someone loan you the money to get the power back on?

Thoughts are with you.   If you were near here you'd be more than welcome to stay here -  with the cat of course!

Oh Cheryl, I am SOOO sorry that your power is going to be shut off That is just terrible!!!!! I really hope you can get something worked out and fast. I wouldn't leave my cat's behind either. Hopefully a friend will be able to help you, or even loan you the money to pay the bill :cross: Load of vibes that this will be true

  That stinks.  Are there any agencies that can help you out maybe?  Since you are working toward getting  back on your feet?  A church even?  It takes time; but it seems to me you should have qualified for some kind of temporary disability.  I'm so sorry this is happening to you after all you've gone through!

I could help out with at least part of it.  You live in a cold part of the country you don't need to be in a home without electricity.
 

Just a quick note before i finally go to bed. Turtle will NOT have her power shut off and she won't have to leave her home.....

My niece is taking care of it on Monday. She owes me money anyway and this is a good time to pay it back!!!

I should have tried harder to get it resolved before telling everyone about it. It would have saved some of you from getting upset. I'm sorry for that.

Thank you everyone for your concern and offers. I just couldn't imagine not having electricity to log onto TCS!!! I know, I know it's all about Turtle...well she's slept through the majority of this crisis. Which I'm going to try to do right now

Cheryl, so happy to hear the good news!     It's too cold to be without electricity --- with all you've been through you certainly deserve a break and some good things to happen to  you -- and to Turtle.
