My all-time least favorite song is "True" by Spandau Ballet. It is like nails on a chalkboard to me. :lol3:

For current songs I really do not like "Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars.

I should also add that I can not stand every single twangy country song that has ever been made. :D

Aw, come on. Country music is good for your heart. Too bad it has to go through your ears first.

I have always really disliked "Maneater" by Hall & Oates.

Just a song? I can't stand most rap. If I can't understand the singer and/or if its not proper grammar at least, I can't stand it

Dyer Maker by Led Zeppelin. Soooooooooooo annoying.
Oh, that is a classic!! Love that one.

Add me to the list of people who won't listen to rap. I also refuse to listen to pop music - Beiber, Agulara (sp), etc. and am not fond of new country (Taylor Swift *GAG*) because that is just as uselss as pop - all edited beyond reason. Despite that last comment about new country, I did find an new artist that I do like - Johnny Reid; he put out a version of Darlin', a late 60s or early 70s soft rock hit for Tom Jones, and did a fine job of it.  .

Gimme twang, gimme real rock, 50s pop, rockabilly, blues, folk, and almost anything else.

ETA: Did you know that the rock staple of fuzz guitar was an accident in a recording studio in *GASP* Nashville? Marty Robbins was recording Don't Worry About Me and an amp for the pedal steel went on the fritz. They wanted to redo the song, but Robbins liked the sound and insisted it stay and fuzz was invented, and oddly, used in twangy country and blues before rock came along.

I've just read through this entire thread and I had a little giggle to myself. I'm 17 years old and most of the music everyone said they hated is what I usually listen to... but don't worry, there is absolutely no offense taken whatsoever, lol.

Anyway, my least favorite song has to be... uhm... well.... you know, I can't really think of one.

I like all types of music, even if it's just a song or two in that particular genre. For the record, The Beatles are my most favorite band of all time.
 And I do love the oldies - 50s, 60s, 70s, etc.

"Last Worthless Evening" by Don Henley.  I mean.... okay, because you're coming into my life, it's no longer "worthless"?!  The song comes off as really arrogant.  I usually run to change the station if I hear it.  Also getting mighty sick of "Born To Be Wild" because of those stupid health insurance commercials being played endlessly.

There are 2 songs I can't stand to hear..."Dynamite" by Taio Cruz and "Ridin' Solo" by Jason Derulo. I have to change the radio station every time those 2 come on.

Running up that Hill by Kate Bush.
That song has so many parts that remind me of fingernails on a blackboard.

And "Every Breath You Take" by the Police.  It just creeps me out.

WHAT! That one is one of my favorites. :lol3:

The Beatles are my most favorite band of all time. :bigwink:
ME TOO! I know every word to every song. And I'm 19. And a girl. We should be friends. :D

As for my music tastes, my mom has described me as having "rock and roll in my blood." She raised me on country, but I listen almost exclusively to classic rock. I can get into some indie rock, and classical is always good, but almost nothing else. I HATE pop. To me, it's not even music, just computers sounding like people. :nuh:

There are some exceptions, though... Guns 'N Roses is just awful, and ditto for Def Leppard. Other than that, I can't think of a classic rock band I hate.

I hate rap most of all.    I like country (but not the old fashioned twangy kind of country) ... the country that tells a story.    I love show music, especially music from Phantom of the Opera, which is my favorite favorite show.   OK now I'm dating myself, but I love the "oldies but goodies" --- 50's and 60's music.   Elvis was one of my all time favorites, and can I tell you something special?  -  When I was a teen my friends and I saw Elvis at a TV show he was doing.  We waited for him after the show and he gave me a kiss!!     I tell everyone that to this day I still haven't washed my face!       Some photographer was taking pictures of the fans and Elvis said to me "you come stand in front of me shorty!"       Well that's my claim to fame!

I know!!!  It totally a stalker song!!
That is exactly what it is, was written as such and some people STILL think it is a love song...........EEEEWWWW

On another note, I am probably the only person who never cared one way or another for the Beatles. There were three of us around the same age who never understood the fascination - not only the girls went gaga over them but boys weren't far behind. The three of us were raised on the unlikely combo of C&W, blues, big band/swing and German traditional music and when the British Invasion hit, we looked more to the real blues based bands - Rolling Stones, Yardbirds; the big sound groups like Moody Blues and the rockabilly sound although I never much cared for Elvis.

I do have a guilty secret though - my favourite all time artist has to be Ian Tyson. His influence is almost as great as Bob Dylan's. For those looking for songs that tell a story, indulge yourself at youtube; some may be twangy but also very intricate. .

Ok this is a great question. And this is quite funny, but true. My Larry always hums this song/tune and he knows I HATE it and it drives me crazy  :spin: :wife:. He hums it in a scary way too, like a psycho killer who has lost his mind. :flail: Here is the name of the song. The Toreador Song - also called Votre Toast...... I just can't stand it :frown2:

OH - he also sings the Brady Bunch song to annoy me too..... :flail:
