When I came out to feed the ferals last night I noticed something odd... 1,2,3,... 4 black kitties! This little black kitten, I believe female, was tagging along. I am assuming she is lost or thrown out because she is very affectionate, rubbing on me, meowing at the door when I went inside... and she is still there this morning. She was one hungry little girl, she didn't even let momma's hissing scare her from the food.

Oh isn't she lovely!, and so trusting to let you scritch her like that. Poor baby, but thank goodness your there to feed her

Do your ferals have any shelter from the cold weather?

Awww, she's so cute! Her eyes are so big and bright.
Thank goodness you're there to feed her if she was thrown out, but honestly she's so sweet why would someone do that?

She is very sweet, but what makes me think she wasn't a house kitty was that she doesn't accept being picked up well at all. She will climb on my leg and curl up in my lap but any time I've tried to pick her up she has acted like my ferals and leaps away from me. I've been asking around and posting a missing cat pic on facebook for friends to see in case they know anyone missing a kitty. She is one sweet girl, and everyone is getting along, except Momma Kitty is a little hissy to her.

Not wanting to be picked up doesn't necessarily mean that she wasn't someone's pet.  My Katie won't let me pick her up at all. She will come onto the bed and rub against me and push her head under my hand in order for me to give her scritches and rubs.  But try and pick her up? Not if I want to keep my skin intact!  LOL

This is true... I've just never had one of those around here.
She is also loaded with fleas and dirty like an outside kitty... and many people around my neighborhood have cats that they don't take care of, just expect them to hunt for food, and they don't spay or neuter either so there ends up being even more cats
I wish she had a home to go to, but if not she will probably end up here... I am such a sucker for a sad face and meow.. lol
