Hi Everyone,

My name is Tyler and the fuzzy guys is Mozart.

With the  intros aside here is a bit about us!  Mozart is about 6.5 -7 weeks old, his Mom is "Community" Cat whom made herself and her kittens at home in the ceiling of a work friends Garage. Mozart is just a little guy the runt of the litter but he's packed FULL of energy and curiosity. Another interesting fact is he happens to be a "Mitten" Cat with a total of 13 toes (6 right 7 left) on his front paws. Myself I'm a young professional (with an even 10 fingers), whom lived alone before taking on this little white ball of fur. I've had Cats most of my life and felt that this little guy would make my apartment feel more like home. Hopefully I'll be able to learn a few tricks here and there from you all!

Welcome from a fellow Canadian, and fellow polydactyl cat caretaker! My orange boy, Carrot, has 7 toes on his right front paw, and 6 on his left. He also has a brother with extra toes on all 4 feet. Their poppa was a polydactyl feral that I TNRed, apparently after he squeezed in one last "date".

Thanks again everyone! I cant wait to get this little guy to the vet, he has a case of worms for sure and has a rather mild case of fleas (likely the cause of said worms) Im a little upset with the friend whom I got him from.. she could have warned me in advance. Had I know he'd have been treated before I got him..... Vet visit booked, wallet a bit lighter but its going to help the little guy in the end.

When I adopted Dexter, 11 yrs ago, (he was free) I went straight to our vet because he was covered with fleas.
The vet took care of the fleas, worms, etc. and did blood work to rule out any serious disease.
He also set up an inoculation schedule, when to neuter, etc.

I laughed about how much my "free" kitten cost before I even got him home. :dk: :thud:
But, eleven years later, I know that there is no money in the world I would take for Dexter.
He is love itself and absolutely priceless. :heart3:

Be sure to ask your vets office for a discounted first appointment kitten exam....
most vets offer that.

Please keep us updated about how Mozart is doing. :rub:
