My new house - pictures included!

I've been quiet lately as I moved just over a week ago - to the new house I bought! biggrin.gif

 

I brought 7 kitties with me - caticon.gif Fafeena caticon.gif Cow caticon.gif Eden caticon.gif Sophie caticon.gif Gumbycaticon.gif Dory caticon.gif Lola.  And of course Izzy the dog.  (In case you notice - the other cats & dogs stayed w/ the parents at their house.)

 

It was a bit rough at first - but I LOVE it!

WOW How very nice clap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif And look at all of the cat toys. Looks like my house - cat toys all over the floor. Izzy is just adorable in all of that white fluff. The cat's look like they are all settled in too. Lovely new home, Congratulations clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif You must be so happy happy2.gif and the kitties have a lot of investigating to do. If you look at the living room picture - the cardboard box at the end of the couch is filled with cat toys. And the four rubbermaid tubs are all canned/dry cat food! laughing02.gif

Sophie LOVES the ottomans, she spends all her time sleeping on them (except for at night, when she comes to sleep on my pillow & eat my hair cringe.gif ) Fafeena loves to destroy the blinds....go figure the oldest cat in the household won't leave them alone. Eden loves her own counter space, she spends most of her time on them or snuggled into the soft blanket on the couch. Dory, Gumby, & Cow love to hang out in my bedroom upstairs. And Lola's.....Lola! wink.gif

I call it....KITTY CITY. And somewhere at my parent's house I have a wooden sign, I've been looking for it for over a year now, it says "The kitties & me welcome thee". It is SO cute - got it from my sister as a Christmas gift 4 years ago. I'm afraid it got thrown out, I'd give anything to have that again!

It's a wonderful house and it's obvious that your kids have made themselves right at home. I love all the windows! Congratulations on your new house! clap.gif

 

Just one thing.....I noticed you have kitties lounging on top of your fridge. Ummmm, they need a pillow....if they're going to be up there, they might as well be comfy! laughing02.gif When our gang decided that sleeping on top of our fridge was on their Top Ten Places to Nap in the House, I put a huge dog pillow there for them. They loved it! They got too old to make the jump, so I moved the pillow to our bedroom floor. But now that Mollipop likes to jump up there (and I'm sure Tabby will be following her soon enough), I put the pillow back on top of the fridge. (I just check every day to make sure that it hasn't gotten to far to the back of the fridge to block the air.)

I love the large open rooms.  The old houses have all those boxed-in rooms and you can't see anything beyond them.  Congrats on your new home, love the large rooms and open feel.  I see the kits love it too.

It really looks like the whole gang already feels at home, Nat! A big fluffy towel on top of the fridge will work, too. That's a permanent fixture on top of our freezer.

Very nice Nat!! I saw pictures of the ledge by the steps, but didn't realize that the steps were at the same level as the ledge. My cats would LOVE to hang out there.

Looks like you are settling in very nicely. Would love to see more pics of the cattynatty house!! lol2.gif

I've got more junk that I bought today that will eventually have a place - then I can take more pics. And once I get all the walnuts/leaves raked I hope to get some pics of the outside. It's nothing fancy on the outside, in fact needs new siding in the next few years....and the garage is, well.....I've seen nicer shoe boxes. laughing02.gif

Just when I think I have stuff done, then I think of something else I should do....mostly to maximize my space & give me more storage room. I haven't even begun to unpack my shoes. anon.gif
