Hello,

It's been a while since I posted... so far all has been quiet with our cats Singa and Soleil.

Hoping you may be able to shed some light based on experience. Recently Soleil has been vomiting in a weird way.

It all started out with a flea problem... she brought in fleas which I then treated on her and Singa with Advantage spot treatment. The next day, when I came home from work, the complete lower floor of our house was vomited on. Looking at the areas, she must have spewed it out like a fountain, with a lot of liquid involved and some food. I called the vet immediately, who said to monitor it. I blamed it on her possibly licking spot treatment when grooming Singa (which she regularly does). The vet told me however, that this would not cause such excessive vomiting. We cleaned it all up and then it seems to have been over. This was a week ago.

In the meantime we have sprayed the house with Indorex, with the cats being outside. The vet confirmed it's harmless to cats once it's dry and the house is aired. Last time we sprayed was Saturday. When we and the cats were waiting in the backyard for the spray to dry, Soleil vomited once into the yard, food with a lot of liquid, and again in quite a big fountain.

Today when we came home we again found several areas where she had vomited in the same big spewing way.

Apart from that she seems fine. She eats, drinks and uses the toilet and is very active.

What worries me is the method in which she vomits. Normally I know her to through up a little bit right in front of her, but now she throws up like a human with a big fountain. I would say she hits the 7 inch mark or more in terms of distance. (if that makes any sense - it's difficult to explain).

Any idea?

I'll call the vet again tomorrow, but hopefully one of you has had some experience.

Thanks!

Vera

Sorry, no experience, but agree a vet visit is in order. Good luck! :)
