I just started a new group, the Lone Star Cat Lovers.  I KNOW we have a lot of members here from Texas, so join in!

Great job on creating the group - I would change the avatar there if some "Texas" picture (I can try look up one for you if you like). Hope you get a bunch of members overtime and maybe some Texas-oriented threads going. They don't even have to be about cats!

Yeah, I'm just trying to choose a good avatar.  I'm open to suggestions.  Maybe some artsy type here could make a map of Texas with a kitty face over it?

I was really envisioning the groups as being not just about cats, so it doesn't necessarily have to have a cat in the avatar, I think? Just like the recipes/cooking group doesn't have a cat in the avatar (thank goodness for that, would have been an odd mix laughing02.gif ).

How about a picture of the Texas flag? or maybe this image -

I think what I was mostly impressed with when we visited Texas was the HUGE interchanges in Houston, but not sure you want that as an avatar for your group laughing02.gif

Well...the Alamo...  Not sure I want to commemorate a battle we lost.

 

And most non-Texans don't recognize the San Jacinto monument, which is actually the battle that gained Texas its independence.  (You would have to brave several of those Houston interchanges to get there!)
