Today we went out for a few hours to run some errands, lunch etc.   Angel and Tippytoes were in the spare bedroom together, which is unusual since the two of them don't usually get along.    The door was closed and Tony was sleeping in our bedroom when we left the house.    When we came home, Tony ran to the door crying like a baby.     He's completely lost without his little sisters.    Tony could never never be the only cat in the house.  I think he'd die of a broken heart.   When we had BJ, Tony worshipped the ground BJ walked on and BJ thought Tony was his little baby (we always called BJ Tony' "mommy" -- even though BJ was a boy).     Tony is the just the sweetest most loving cat I've ever seen.  That boy doesn't have a mean bone in his body.       Even though the girls take advantage of him and smack him around, he just loves it.    Try to figure that one out!

Aww!! How adorable. It sounds like your Tony loves his family very much -- furry and human. Give him a big hug from me. :hugs:

Mine do that too, especially Kramer. When I had to leave Boots at the vet for a day while he was getting fixed, Kramer walked around the house all day, meowing and looking under stuff, trying to find his little brother. It was both funny and sweet, and kinda heartbreaking. :lol3:

And when they are on opposite sides of a closed door, they'll sit at the door and meow and paw underneath it, trying to get to each other.

I can relate to that.  When BJ was sick and the time came to say good-bye to him, Tony was devastated.  He was accustomed to seeing us put BJ in the carrier, take him to the vet for a while, but he always knew that when we came home BJ would be in the carrier.    When the time finally came and we came home with an empty carrier, of course we were both heartbroken, but Tony was just sick about it.  He looked in the carrier and then for days walked around the house crying and looking for BJ.     We brought home  BJ's collar and I put it in an envelope on the computer desk.   Tony found the envelope, pulled the collar out and just sat there rubbing up against it.  I guess he could still smell BJ on the collar.

Tony is such a special little boy, Lana. I remember how he acted around BJ and how much he loved his brother. Sounds like he adores his sisters just as much.

Pam, thanks for remembering.    I know all our cats are special but Tony never ceases to amaze us with his disposition.    When I say he wouldn't hurt a fly I mean that literally --- a while back there was a little bug crawling around our family room.  Tony walked over to it, very gently touched it on the head (and you know how tiny a bug's head is), and pulled back.    Didn't harm the bug at all, but Tippytoes walked over to the bug and ate it!!!    Sometimes I wonder what would happen if Tony saw a mouse -- he'd probably run and hide (and so would I!).
