For those of you who are far better at homemaking than me (which is probably everyone here.
), I have an odd situation I'm looking for some advice on.

About a month ago I bought a pair of jeans from a shop I don't usually go to (because previously none of their stuff fit) The jeans smelled a bit funky - like they'd been in a warehouse with mothballs - but since it was a warehouse sale and I wear one of the first sizes to sell out during sales, I was just happy to find a pair and figured the smell would wash out after a round or 2 in the washer.

It didn't...albeit it's gotten much less and really is only the odd whiff now, but it still bugs a bit me as I'm allergic to mothballs.

I also LOVE the jeans and would really like to get another pair the same, but now I'm worried about the smell. Does anyone have some fantastic solution to get mothball smells out of clothes?

Try adding Borax 20 Mule Team (you can find it at Target and Walmart) and 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar in addition to liquid fabric softener and laundry detergent. Should do the trick! (and no worries, your clothes won't smell like vinegar, it'll just leave them clean!) :)
