Good morning!

I've been doing a lot of cleaning lately as I'm hosting my family's biennial Christmas party this year.  My cats are getting annoyed with all the vacuuming and everything, but excited with all the "new" toys I've retrieved from under various things
.

When did you last clean your home?

The last really good, thorough cleaning was back at the beginning of September when we had the whole family come over for a birthday dinner for my younger brother. When we do our holiday decorating, the house will get thoroughly cleaned again. That includes washing curtains...drapes get sent to the dry cleaner twice a year.

But yesterday, I got out our Winterberry dishes for the holiday, so I cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom. Lemon oil on all the kitchen cabinets and the hutch. I took everything off the kitchen counters and scrubbed them down. Cleaned all the appliances, all that good stuff. Cleaned the inside of the fridge and freezer, And finished with a good scrubbing of the kitchen floor. Did the same thing in the bathroom. And washed down all the windows and mirrors.

But the house gets vacuumed 2-3 times a week and I use a Swiffer twice a week to get rid of dust and such. Floors are washed once a week, with spot-washing pretty much every day. Same with the bathroom.

I'm almost done with my major Fall cleaning. I just have parts of the kitchen left, so the answer would be yesterday. :)

Yesterday!
We clean fairly often as well. With the amount of kitties we always have in our home, between our own and the fosters, we need to keep up on it.

Last Saturday was when I cleaned my house. It takes less than 2 hours to clean the whole house. I do it about once a week with spot cleaning in between.

Ruthy, can I hire you?

The last time my house was REALLY cleaned was in August when my Uncle came to visit. DH always jokes that it's a good thing we get company or else nothing would get done! I mean, I dust and straighten up every week but I have to be careful about running the sweeper or the carpet cleaner because they sometimes send Monster into a seizure. Well, ANY kind of stress can throw her into a seizure. So usually, if there is heavy duty cleaning to be done (or company coming), we double her valium and let her pass out, then move her to the bedroom. She's pretty stoned now (a bad seizure last night) so I may be "forced" to do some real cleaning today. Ummm, how much do you charge Ruth? lol
