Phae isn't pooping.

So earlier today I noticed that Phaedra has a piece of hair (I'm assuming my hair, it's blonde and long) sticking out of her bum. There are at least 2 hairs and I cut it shorter so it wasn't sticking out so much. She threw up this morning with what literally looked like a piece of cat poop in a tanish liquid. I'm pregnant and haven't been sleeping much so I was exhausted and kinda just cleaned it up with a towel and went back to sleep. I know for sure she hasn't pooped after 5 PM, and it;s almost 12AM now. I've been waiting frantically for her to poop. The hair is still sticking out of her bum. She is eating and urinating, but since I have her confined in my room with me (I hang out in my room all day) until I know she is okay, she's just been sleeping all day.  Should I be concerned? Ugh, I hope she;s okay :(

I had VERY long hair for a time, and sometimes the kitties would drag poop pieces around because the hair didn't come out all the way. rolleyes.gif I'm sure that her having ingested your hair won't be a problem, but it is good to keep an eye on her. agree.gif If she acts like she's constipated (going in the box and trying to poop but not pooping), I'd give her some pumpkin (canned pumpkin, plain). It's a good fiber for cats, safe, and most will eat it either plain or mixed into food. "Maintenance" is about a tablespoon a day; when constipated, you can safely give that several times a day to help move things along. agree.gif

The vomit with what looked like poop in it is a hairball!
