This boy really needs those magic TCS vibes!

This sweet boy was rescued from the street last night. He is at the humane society vet now being evaluated but it may not be good frown.gif

He isn't moving much and when he does, he's dragging his back legs. Does eat and drink though. Not sure yet if he's having bowel movements, but he does pee. If he can be helped, he will be, but since this could be a serious spine injury.... there may not be any options.

We don't know if he was injured in the Joplin tornado 5 months ago, or injured since then during demolition and removal process, but he has been on the street a while.

Whatever happens, he is safe now and won't suffer but we could really use your vibes and prayers. I'm SO hoping there can be a happy ending for this beautiful, scared boy rather than a trip to the rainbow bridge.

Poor baby- but at least now he is safe and getting food and affection.   Let's hope for positive results.

He is a beautiful little guy!

That's what I'm trying to think of, not the possible outcome. I just can't even imagine how long he was out there in the disaster area, dragging himself around bawling.gif

Still no word on kitty. I spoke to the humane society this afternoon and they are waiting on word from the vet. Kitty is still at the vet at this point being evaluated. With it being the weekend, it may be Monday before we get word about their decision.

Please keep sending those vibes. He really deserves a chance after everything he's been though.

The vet could find no injury with his back or legs, etc. They believe the problem to be neurological. He is back at the shelter for now. The vet recommended they test him for FIV/FeLV so I'm not sure if they think that might have something to do with it?

They said he doesn't appear to be in any pain, but he does have very limited mobility. If he tests positive, they will probably euthanize, since that would give him a double "strike" against him. If he is negative, he would need a very special home and someone willing to work with his limitations and not sure they feel that is possible. So he may be considered "unadoptable" either way.

I will know more when I check with them tomorrow afternoon. They have to keep him 7 days regardless, but I'm worried that may be all the time he has bawling.gif

Please keep this special baby in your prayers. If he is negative, I'm hoping you can all help me think of a solution.

I wonder if it's an old injury that healed wrong...either way, here's hoping he tests positive and a special home can be found for him....maybe somewhere without stairs
