Building an outdoor cat play area

We've given it some thought and have decided that if it is financially do-able, we're going to build an outdoor enclosure/plpay area for the kitties in the yard. Thanks, Kim, for the photos of yours, that is what inspired us!

Does anyone know of a website or book that has plans for building one? I am also in the process of checking with the township to see what sort of building permits I will need.

The enclosure is fantastic! And not to be too stuffy, but is there any danger of fleas or anything else? I would love to be able to do that, maybe if the cost is not too much and if we get permission in our sub, I just dont want any creepies hitching a ride inside!
