getting my cat to eat his prescription food

So Marcus is on c/d wet because he blocked again. Prior to this, his wet food has been soulistic, blue wilderness, BFF, and tiki cat. Now he's on the c/d and he refuses to eat it. He's on an only wet food diet because of crystals but he's turning up his nose at the food and refusing to eat it. Any tips on getting him to eat it? Thanks!

Are you mixing the two foods together? What about adding his favorite treat to the c/d?

Have not tried mixing the food, but I will definitely try that tonight. I just put him immediately on it since his blocked attack so I'm assuming he has to only be on that, you know?

I should try a treat. Problem is he has no attention span, so when you give him treats, sometimes he remembers they're there and sometimes he forgets.

I'd suggest mixing, too, and upping the amount of c/d every day till he's eating just that. If he doesn't like the c/d, you could try another brand. Royal Canin Urinary is available in pouches. It's chunks in gravy, and IIRC is available in chicken and beef flavors. Jamie hates both brands, but will eat the dry c/d and RC Urinary.

You could try sprinkling yummy stuff on top like parmesan cheese, fish flakes, fortiflora.
