Trixie went in to be spayed on tuesday morning, she was a little out of it when we brought her home but perked up once she had been fed, she perked up more on wednesday after we took her cone off. (we took it off for her to eat and a let it a while but she didnt go after her stitches so we didnt put it back on.) By wednesday evening she had a little run round the room with Pixie but only for a minuet or so then she went back to her spot. This morning she seemed back to her normal self, if a little more affectionate than she had been.

Anyway, she was curled up next to me for a while then she got up and as she started walking her back leg, next to her scar, twitched rather violently and she lost her balance, she let out a little whine and has been curled up in her carrier box since. I had a look at her scar and it seems fine but there is a pinkish tinge just off it.

She is booked in for her post op check at 4 (moved up from tomorrow morning) and I will ask the vet about it, in the mean time I was wondering if anyone else had had an experience like this or any idea what it might be. As I said she has been fine up until this point and I'm just getting a little worried that she has hurt herself when I have let the room.

Sorry for the ramble and thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

I haven't heard of this problem though it sounds like nerve damage.

What did your vet say?
