Yep yep.  You heard it right...my eggo is preggo.  Baby #2 is expected next May!  I went for my first trimester ultrasound today (even though the 2nd trimester officially begins on Saturday! 26.gif).  Let's see if I can insert the picture here!

Hi TCSers!  I cant wait to come out and meet the kitties that keep stepping/sleeping on top of me!

Thanks!  DD will be 2 in January.  They will be a little closer in age than we had originally planned; but it'll be fine.  The first few weeks I felt pretty terrible.  But the sickness and all has pretty much gone away.  Now I'm just tired easy and not sleeping as good.  I fall asleep ok; but if I get woken up its harder to go back to sleep.  DD is so energetic these days it sure doesn't help! wink.gif

Congrats! I think two years apart is a good distance- that way they'll be able to have a sibling close in age, which is really fun. My sister is just a little over a year older than me, and we're best friends. Most of the time. wink.gif

Congratulations! Every time you think they're too close together, think of all the siblings who are just 11 months apart (I actually know a few).

laughing02.gif  It's that "most of the time" I worry about!  Right now DD is used to having my attention all day long.  DH works a lot so it's just her and I so much of the time!

Yes it does!!  Sea bands saved my life I think!!  I'm just relieved the worst of it went away early.  Now a stick of gum takes care of it.  Or a pickle. Yum!

Oh me too!  The baby board I go on has a group for each month.  There was a mom on there who had twins born the same day my DD was born.  At her 6 week postpartum appointment her doc told her she was pregnant!  Being January babies that meant the new baby was due in the same calendar year!!  thud.gifI know a few others that are really close like that too.  My youngest step-siblings are about 14 months apart and they've always been close.  Same with the older 2 who are 18 months apart.  That is part of the reason I knew I wanted my DD to have a sibling.  I never had a blood-sibling of my own.

LOL!  Boy I bet that made some fun conversations between them when they were kids!  My cousin and I are like that for about a week also.  I remember the "I'm STILL older!" conversations! laughing02.gif  My friend's sisters are 355 days apart in age!  They were always close and used to like having parties together from what I remember.

I got mine at Walmart.  They were about $8.  I found them near the other motion sickness things.  They come in a nice little plastic case so I'm keeping them in my purse for trips in the future.

Congratulations!!

My sister and I are a little over 3 years apart. Might just be us, since we are both quite stubborn (we come by it honestly!), but we didn't really get along until she moved out and I was over 18. laughing02.gif She beat me up as a kid; I worshiped the ground she walked on as we got a little older and that annoyed her to no end. Once we got older and had our own identities & personalities we both realized that the other one was actually a pretty cool person. wink.gif

So I think whether or not they will get along has more to do with their individual personalities than age difference. It was good to have a sister growing up, though. Even when we didn't get along with each other we always had the others back when it really counted. smile.gif

DH is a little like that with his sisters.  Of course they are 6 and 4 years older than he is; so he was the pesky little brother!  He still has a V shaped scar on the back of his head, where hair wont grow, from when one sister was fighting with him over sitting in a rocking chair.  She pulled him off and he cut his head open on the coffee table.  I'm sure he deserved it.  He also remembers them stringing his tricycle up on the clothes line!  laughing02.gif  Today one sis we really enjoy being with; but we don't live close to either.  Still it's nice when we can.  Esp since now we both have kiddos.
