A Brief Progress Report

Thread Starter

I've felt so much better these past few days.  Turtle has done me the favor of NOT going up under the bed. So no "awkward"moments...

I started to wean myself off the pain medication and today was the first day I was totally drug-free. Turtle is still on duty and is at my side 24/7. When I sit or lay down she curls up next to me and just watches me. If she feels a cat nap coming on she always put her paw on my leg or arm so she'll wake up if I move.

Is this the same "aloof" kitty that came to live with me a few months ago? She's one Turtle that finally came out of her shell!!

heartpump.gifheartpump.gifheartpump.gif Aw Cheryl, that is great news on all fronts!!!!! clap.gifclap.gif And how sweet is Turtle? It's absolutely heart melting.

That's great (my name is Cheryl to but its Sheryl with an "S" lol.)    Its funny, I think like people, cats just don't know how important things/people are until they're almost gone.  Turtle almost lost you and it made her realize that you're more special to her then she thought and now she doesn't want to lose you again.

I hope you recover quickly! hugs.gif I've enjoyed reading about Nurse Turtle and the special bond you two share. smile.gif

Me, too. That girl is one very special kitty, that's for sure. I'm so glad you're feeling better, Cheryl.

Definitely a special kitty and a special nurse.    Some people say cats have no feelings --- but they're so wrong!     They're truly your best friends.

Take care, feel better and give Turtle a kiss for all of  us.
