Fwan's Kaylee (RB) and Teufel while visiting us. They loved it way up on the bookcase.

Teufel on the kitchen cabinets:

Kaylee had to check out the same spot:

Annie is the one who elicits that reaction around here. I'm sure she thinks that one of her nicknames is "Annie-Get-Down-From-There!"

She gets up on the top of the bedroom doors on a fairly regular basis...
Wow Annie has some skillz!

The picture of her reminded me of this cat I found on Internet... the caption of the pic was "fearless". Hope Annie will never try this....

My cats love to get on top of the bedroom and closet doors. They will find ways up there all the time.

Mine also love ladders, my attic is one of the ones with the drop down ladder, the cats love to climb it to go up there with me.

The highest any of them has ever managed to go was Ella who climbed the ladder when I was painting at my old place, the ceilings were vaulted they were about 20ft? ( I am really bad at guessing measurements) at the highest point, and of course Ella has to climb all the way up. She scared me and herself because she couldn't get down, my friend snapped a picture right before I climbed up the ladder to bring her down.

OMG!  I would have had a heart attack w/ Ella up there!

I have definitely noticed my kitties have more guts than brains when it comes to climbing... ok, you're up there, congrats.  And you can't get back down... nice.

Well, Boots outdid himself. It's easy to see how he got on top of the cabinets in the previous pic (counter --> fridge --> cabinets), but the cup cabinet is freestanding.

I can only guess he used the coffee maker as a launch pad. :lol3:

"What, mama?"

Oh my, he is being quite adventurous there. It's funny, my cat Memphis who looks identical to Boots will sometimes attempt jumps that are way to high for him. I have seen him miss high jumps lots of times, and I could easily see him attempting that jump from the counter. If they think similarly along with looking identical, you may not be giving him enough credit

rad65, I don't know if you saw, but in a previous picture thread (I think the close-up one?) I commented on how Boots and Memphis look the same. :lol3:

And yes, he is quite the adventurous and smart kitty. He seemed to be able to get down from the cabinet fine. He can also open cabinet doors and the lid on the red trashcan, as you see in that photo. :lol3:

Pretty crazy when you think about how cats can jump up to six times their body length high.

If I could do that, I'd be able to slam dunk a 36 foot tall basketball hoop!
