This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...
This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

OMG! I would have had a heart attack w/ Ella up there!
I have definitely noticed my kitties have more guts than brains when it comes to climbing... ok, you're up there, congrats. And you can't get back down... nice.
Well, Boots outdid himself. It's easy to see how he got on top of the cabinets in the previous pic (counter --> fridge --> cabinets), but the cup cabinet is freestanding.
I can only guess he used the coffee maker as a launch pad.
Oh my, he is being quite adventurous there. It's funny, my cat Memphis who looks identical to Boots will sometimes attempt jumps that are way to high for him. I have seen him miss high jumps lots of times, and I could easily see him attempting that jump from the counter. If they think similarly along with looking identical, you may not be giving him enough credit
rad65, I don't know if you saw, but in a previous picture thread (I think the close-up one?) I commented on how Boots and Memphis look the same.
And yes, he is quite the adventurous and smart kitty. He seemed to be able to get down from the cabinet fine. He can also open cabinet doors and the lid on the red trashcan, as you see in that photo.
