They do find their way into some crazy places, don't they ;)

Been there, wondered that. I don't know how Tails got up here. That built-in with the litter on it is the only furniture in the room.

Oh that is so funny!! Look at her WAY up there YIKES!!! It amazes me how some cat's really have that natural balance and are so athletic clap.gif. A few of mine are on the clumsy side laughing02.gif and would never make it up on something like that bluelaugh.gif

laughing02.gif Those are great! clap.gif I'm always amazed at how far/high they can jump. agree.gif

This one was interesting, just because there was such little space to jump into! flail.gif

Great pictures!!

Well, since others have already posted their "how did you get up there" photos... laughing02.gif Here is Holland balanced precariously on my AC unit. I was worried she wouldn't be able to get down. rolleyes.gif I mean, look at her - she's practically touching the ceiling!!! She just loves giving mommy little heart attacks now and then.

...and that's Lazlo. laughing02.gif That was in 2002, when we only had Lazlo and Sheldon. In fact.. that's just about a week or so before we adopted back Spooky. heartpump.gif

Seems Lazlo and Shel are a team. One behind the curtain and now one in the cabinet picking out a movie... flail.gif Great camera.gifclap.gif

Please apologize to Lazlo for me; I'm not terribly familiar with all of your crew, and those 3 are vaguely the same color... laughing02.gif

LOL, Laz says no apology necessary! He was impressed you knew which kitties it COULD have been! laughing02.gif

I can't find any pictures right now strangely, but my cat Joey loves to jump from a counter to the top of the china cabinet which is about 3-4ft away and about 3 ft higher then the counter. He almost gave me a heart attack the first time because we bought the china cabinet used and it is in two pieces, the bottom and top and we had not screwed them together yet. They don't line up perfectly but he has perfected his light jump, and when he wants down will jump right to the ground.

My big fat cat Baby tries to climb it because he has trouble jumping high~he is clumsy. He got up there twice but had trouble getting down and luckily I haven't seen him up there again. Katie is a female cat & tiny like a kitten although she is 2...she likes to climb the top part of the china cabinet and then climb back down...we kept wondering how cat paws got all over the front of the glass on the doors and finally watched her doing that one day.

My blind kitty climbs the resistance band weight bench type thing we have that has long weights on it near the top, and he will perch on the weights but forget how to get back down. Many mornings we wake up to his meows. He has a certain meow that he does when he climbs something and cant figure out how to get down (if he can't reach the bottom w/ his paws & stretching or doesn't remember how to get down he won't try to climb down he just waits at the top)...he does the same cry when he can't find his litterbox! :o)

Oh goodness!! Whiskie is a lot like that, although he's not blind... one time, he climbed a tree and stayed up there for 3 days!!!! My boyfriend had to actually climb the tree to go get him. And the poor little thing just kept going higher instead of coming down.

Annie is the one who elicits that reaction around here. I'm sure she thinks that one of her nicknames is "Annie-Get-Down-From-There!" rolleyes.gif

She gets up on the top of the bedroom doors on a fairly regular basis...
IMG_0052-1.jpg

This is her answer to "Annie-Get-Down-From-There!" We interpret it as, "Whaaatttt?"
IMG_0050-1.jpg

She also climbs ladders. She doesn't jump to the top, she actually climbs the ladder and goes back down the same way.

We know if we can't find her, look up.

Wow Annie has some skillz!

The picture of her reminded me of this cat I found on Internet... the caption of the pic was "fearless". Hope Annie will never try this.... wink.gif

My cats love to get on top of the bedroom and closet doors. They will find ways up there all the time.

004.JPG

Mine also love ladders, my attic is one of the ones with the drop down ladder, the cats love to climb it to go up there with me.

The highest any of them has ever managed to go was Ella who climbed the ladder when I was painting at my old place, the ceilings were vaulted they were about 20ft? ( I am really bad at guessing measurements) at the highest point, and of course Ella has to climb all the way up. She scared me and herself because she couldn't get down, my friend snapped a picture right before I climbed up the ladder to bring her down.
