My cat Buddy has recently started doing an odd thing when he goes to drink out of his water dish. He'll drink for a bit, then begin digging and pawing at the carpet in front of the dish almost like he would if he was getting ready to use the litter box.
He doesn't, thank god.
But I thought it was funny and odd for him to do it.
The water is good well water, and I keep it clean by replacing it twice a day and whenever there ends up being something in it.
Another strange behavior. Whenever I kick Buddy off the bed when I'm sleeping and he tries to sleep on my face, he BOUNCES upward away from the carpet as if it was lava and perches on the desk/dresser or even runs to his litter box.
Mind you, I keep him and his things in my room as the dogs in the house eat his kibble.
Silly dogs.
But I thought it was an odd thing. I've never seen a cat do that. The only time he won't do it is when he's eating his wet food.
But any insight on these strange things would be enlightening.

. I am not sure if they do it because they want to "hide" there water, like there "excess" food. Or it is because they like "moving" water. I am more inclined to believe the later then the former. But that is just my opinion.
