Howdy from Sarge and I

I recently adopted the first pet of my own...Sarge!  I had dogs and some outdoor cats when I was a kid, but now being completely on my own I found I needed a companion.  I had been thinking about adopting a cat for awhile, but I can give all the credit to my amazing boyfriend.  We are college sweethearts, but after graduation our jobs separated us by four hours.  Anyways, back in September while visiting him he adopted a very active kitten named Donnie (after Don Draper from "Mad Men")  Donnie and Dad (my boyfriend) call me Momma!  Unfortunately, soon after adopting Donnie my boyfriend was informed that his new job was sending him on a business trip for two weeks in NYC.  So I took care of Donnie during that time and really bonded with him.   When my boyfriend was back here in Texas we stopped by the pet store so that he could pick up extra litter and food before he headed back to Houston.  While at the store we checked out the dogs, reptiles, and lastly the cats (just looking of course)  Then I came across Sarge.  He was a from a litter of five, and only him and his brother were left looking for a home.  I was actually interested in his brother, but once I was able to hold them both I found Sarge to be prefect for me.  He is very playful and has this face you can't say no to!  The thought of not having Donnie around made me sad...so I signed the paperwork from the shelter and brought Lil' Sarge home.  Whenever I go to visit my boyfriend I bring Sarge with me so that we can all be one big family...Donnie, Sarge, Dad, and Momma.  Next year, we are planning that we will all be living together as one :)  Glad I found "TheCatSite" to discuss with other cat lovers!
