Does your spouse or SO.....

Thread Starter

read the forum?

Rick has TCS in his Favorites on his computer and he also has it on his phone. He spends a few minutes every day reading what we talk about on here. And then, sometimes, while we're working on dinner, he'll mention something that he read or talk about something I posted.

He also has some of the other forums I visit bookmarked, too. (He likes the food board I go to because that's what we talk about....food! rryumy.gif )

Does your spouse read this forum?

No, although he is a cat guy wink.gif, Aaron definitely doesn't visit here.

No spouse to speak of. My other partner through this life is a dog. I found animals are more supportive and loving. Wrong choices

Oh heck no.

Mine only listens to me tell him what I read on here. He doesn't actually come here.

My husband is a closet cat lover. He pretends to be indifferent to them until you catch him alone talking to them and trying to get them to sit in his lap. His famous last words are *No more cats! after he has stepped on a toy or one has left a hairball in his shoe happy2.gif

I take care of ferals outside. He is the first one to alert me that the cats are outside waiting for their meal. He will tell me numerous times they are outside even after I have already fed them. The ferals eat more than my inside cats because he is always telling me they have no food in their dish. Well yeah, they ate it! So I will catch him *going outside to take the garbage out* and notice he is in the catfood bin getting dry to put out there for them.  He is also the first one to volunteer to build me a cat house for the ferals complete with heated dog kennel bed inside.

Yesterday we went to pet co. I notice in the cart a couple bags of random cat toys and a scratcher. I asked him why he got that stuff he says well the ferals are young don't you think they might like some toys? And the scratcher is for the baby hers looks like it needs changed.

And the last thing from the No more cats man is: We are out and about and I notice we are pulling into the Shelter. I ask why we are at the shelter as we hadn't brought any food or stuff to drop off. He says to me " Well since we lost Austin I thought you might like to get another cat or 2 kittens"

Mind you I still have 4 cats and 4 ferals even after losing Austin (which I miss everyday) so it wasn't like we had an empty kitty house.

Nope! Although he loves cats, he is not much of a forum kind of guy. It's football, email, football, football, news. crackup.gif

Mine was addicted to some of the games in the Arcade.  Now that they are gone, I doubt he'll ever stop by.  I know that it looked like I was online here for long periods of time, but chances are it was him at the arcade.

He does know some of the people here, just from hearing me talk about them.

Nope, but he likes to come peer over my shoulder when I look at the kitty pictures :)

Are you married to my husband? I call myself a Football widow this time of year. There are the games, the fantasy leagues, pools, checking the football forums. He has NFL  sunday ticket so football on the TV and 2 computers that are showing games. I know to record any shows that come on Sundays and Monday night as my chances of getting the TV during those times is like winning the lotto.

Nope. The only forum he ever visits is a car one and only when he has a question about maintenance, the best snow tires, etc.. He's addicted to YouTube music videos, though.

Gary joined at some point as Shelly's Dad, and posted a bit, but TCS didn't like his style. flail.gif He wasn't banned or anything, and does log in to say thanks when I start a birthday thread for him, or people send him good wishes or vibes because of his medical situation. He deals with PMs that once or twice a year LOL.

But he's not a forum guy, and he is NOT political in how he writes, and isn't a "family forum" person (I'm the editor of everything we publish for a reason LOL). I think he does some tech geek stuff like XDA Developer's forum from time to time.

He is NOT sports. He used to love hockey, but we got rid of real time TV years ago. He does news, stocks, and tech stuff. But as he's a research analyst and market strategist and economist, it's appropriate. laughing02.gif

Older members of TCS know he is a total cat guy though. He knows about all of you and most of your kitties. I always share the cute pics. He can't handle bad news these days, so I have to time telling him about things like that. heartpump.gif
post #12 of 29

The only forums my SO visits is hockey related ones. But he does always ask me what's going on "my cat site" and enjoys when I show him the posted pictures!

My hubby barely can figure out how to read his email, so, NO, he definitely doesn't read anything here, BUT, I tell him about this and that, since it's obviously where I spent much of my time smile.gif

Nope. But I tell him if i find some thing funny or interesting. Its the "kitty people"  said....this or that..Other than that I dont want to know what he surfs all night.smashfreak.gif on the weekends.

Nope.  But he knows some of the stories I tell him.  He came with me to a meet-up once a few years ago too.  Most on-line stuff is "my thing."  He doesn't even get on his facebook page...actually I made it for him... lol

No, not that I know of laughing02.gif He loves our cat's though and I do show him some posts from time to time biggrin.gif

Same sentence, different names.

He knows some people on here by name and he peeks over my shoulder at the cat pics. wink.gif Funny thing is that when there is a health type question he'll tell me to start a post. Mind you, I've been here for almost 10 years and have picked up a lot of information along the way. He won't take my word on it - I have to ask here...usually to hear the same thing that I said in the first place. bluelaugh.gif

No, Nick doesn't come here, but sometimes I tell him about a particularly funny or weird thing someone's cat does. Or show him the pictures. smile.gif

He was not into cats at all before he met me -- he had been allergic as a young child, and wasn't sure whether he still was or not when we started dating, because his family has no cats (mom is allergic as well, so I guess they have an excuse laughing02.gif). But when I got Bootsy, he became Mr. Cat Lover. He now plans on getting an F4-F7 Savannah, or a Bengal, after he moves in with me. smile.gif

No one in my life at the moment, although I tell good friends about the site and things that go on here. My brother has an account although it's never used.

He sounds a little like me, although I enjoy 'family forums'. I am a tech geek, self-admittedly and a share trader laughing02.gif
post #21 of 29

Blaine has an account but I dont think he uses it, he would rather just listen to me talk about the site :)

DF wouldnt join or read TCS. He thinks Im nuts already because all my friends are online and I generally avoid people irl. LOL

LOL! I am now quite the football fan too and I am loving it! We watch all of the games on Sunday together (we have NFL Sunday Ticket too) and I keep up on our team during the week, but I am not into all the commentator TV shows (like on ESPN and stuff). He opens his eyes in the morning and he tunes straight to ESPN. It's amazing, lol.

My boyfriend is the same way. He says he doesn't care for cats, but when his childhood cat died he was heartbroken. He calls my cat fat and says how he ruins everything, but then when he comes over, the cat gets greeted first!

Nope, Craig definately doesnt come here!

He is on alot of fish forums though :D

Sometimes when he's bored he'll come read what I've posted on here. But usually not. Signed up with both our names because I was just asking some questions for both of us about his cat Tigger back in 2007, but I ended up enjoying it here and stuck around afterward! We belong to a lot of the same forums when it comes to cars.
Nope, but he does let me read him some or show him some of the really cute kittys! laughing02.gif
post #28 of 29

Paul doesn't even know how to use a computer, but I do show him some interesting posts and pictures.

He wants me to teach him how to use the computer but I told him we'd probably end up getting divorced!

I just don't have patience to show him anything -- he may take a class in our local library.

Nope,my dh isn't a cat person.x
