Hey Everyone!

I just I would share the deal if you have a Kindle and Amazon Prime. According to their website (http://www.amazon.com) you can now rent 1 book for free every month on your Kindle! I am soooooooo excited! (BTW.. if you are a student, you can get Amazon Prime for free)

So I did the calculations.. and I figured, I buy at least a book per month @ $7.99 and multiply that by 12, its about $95!

So, thought I'd share. :)

I saw this the other day! So cool! I just got prime last month so this is just another pretty awesome little perk to it! I've already saved about $40 in shipping cost alone! LOL

Love it! I've had it for about a year and a half now and it keeps getting better! I was hesitant at first, but then when I found out I could get it for free because I was also a student, I obviously couldn't pass it up. Now that I have it, it's amazing how much more I shop on Amazon instead of other sites. I am starting to find much better prices on Amazon too, in comparison to other sites.

It worked out really well just recently too, because my mother was caught in that icky snow storm in the Northeast and she was without power for awhile. I was able to hop onto my Prime and get her a nice kerosene heater overnighted for only $3.99!

I ADORE Amazon Prime.  When all your family (except one brother in law) lives on the opposite coast, this is the way to go for gifting :)  We are entering our 3rd year of membership, and I got a Kindle last Christmas which I also adore.  This is a wonderful idea on their part

ps I use amazon prime for a lot of shopping for us...I get my coffee beans (great deal) through them, paper products, my beloved lavender handsoap etc etc.  It is *amazing* what you can find for a decent price..including the lower protein royal caninn dry food that is part of what I feed my senior catizens.

Same here. I've had it for a couple of years (it's cheaper in Germany because the country is smaller - €29 = $40) and really get my money's worth. Sometimes we have 2 or 3 deliveries in one week. Amazon is usually lower in price than brick and mortar stores or other internet suppliers and Prime means free overnight shipping here.

I've just checked out the German Kindle store, and there's nothing about borrowing e-books. Hopefully it'll be introduced over here. My Kindle is actually still registered to amazon.com, but my Prime membership is with amazon.de.

I don't have Prime but I'm going to look into it after reading all your posts!!  I know they have the Amazon Mom out I need to see if those work together.  Might save me time, money and backache from lugging boxes of diapers and wipes home from Walmart!  Plus I love my Kindle!

I wonder if you chat with customer service if they can combine your accounts some how, so that your Kindle recognizes you as Prime.

It's on a per country basis only, unfortunately. I order from Amazon websites in a couple of different countries, so I did ask about that.
