Penny's bedding sale...

I live in a fairly warm climate area...
it rarely freezes here but it does get cold at night in the winter.

Today, I am going to Pennys to buy a Studio Sherpa Micromink throw.
It looks nice and soft plus I like the reviews.

Most of our bedding is in the cream tones so I will probably get the dark mocha for year round cuddling. rub.gif

What do you add to your beds to stay warm and snug during the cold winter weather? cloud9.gif

I work for JCP (both fortunately & unfortunately LOL).  I've long looked at those throws, and haven't heard any customer complaints about them.

PS - Right now in the ad there is a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more!

Nice. I have a $10 coupon and that might be worth it. Not for our bed, though, but for the sofa in the living room. When we're watching movies, we could wrap up in that.

We keep an electric blanket on the bed for those really cold nights. We keep the house temp fairly low, so the blanket helps with warmth.

I just bought the kitties their own throw (not as nice as this one). I always keep a faux-fur throw on the foot of the bed in the winter for their use. (It also keeps OUR feet warm!)

I once had a gorgeous faux-mink throw, which was very realistic. It said that you couldn't wash it, but I found I could: in cold water, then I hung it up to dry, and used my fingers to rake down the pile in the direction it was "growing" (like your cat's fur).  I "killed" it accidentally; I accidentally washed it in hot water, which fuzzed up the pile. I wish I could find another one in the $20-40 price range....

For my bed, I have a king sized micro fleece blanket.  For my living room furniture, I have fleece throws.  I'm making a quilt for our bed - that's been in progress for about 2 years now.  :anon:

I love micro fleece.  I make most of my throws and am frustrated that micro fleece material is very hard to find in fabric stores.  I've found the fabric, but it's mostly in little girl colors.  I just use my Serger sewing machine to bind the edges.

Funny you mention this.  I just came back from there with two huge blankies.  They are originally $80.00 on sale for $19.99 plus I used the $10.00 coupon.

I got the shepa fleese throw using the $10 off of a $25 purchase.
To reach the $25 requirement for the $10 coupon, I added a small cranberry colored rug for my front door....
great for the holidays.
I washed the throw, it came out soft and beautiful....
Isis and Dexter have given their full cat nap approval. clap.gif

For years I have bought cream fleese material at a local yardage store to cover my couch and main front room chair.
I don't have to sew it...
just have it cut at the store, wash and use. biggrin.gif

Enjoy a warm and cozy winter everyone. cold.gifsmile.gif
