Good morning!

 

The question today is about advertising jingles, those annoying little jingles that we hear on tv and on the radio.

 

Do ever find yourself singing or humming an advertising jingle? Which one?

 

 

Does anybody remember the old Hellmann's commercial.....Bring out the Hellmann's and bring out the best! Well, that's the jingle that I will find myself humming from time to time.

 

And when we find out that our boss has taken a day off work, we'll start singing the Vonnage commercial. WooHoo-WooHooHoo!  laughing02.gif

I sign the Oscar Meyer wiener song all the time... laughing02.gif I get a kick out of the Mini Wheats jingles too!

None that I can think of recently. But my coworkers and I used to recite a couple when we had the radio in here.

"Dial 7 24 7 24 7 for disaster plus!" And "safelite auto glass! 760-00 00!" One girl actually used the jingle to remember the number when her windshield broke in the parking lot.

Oh I hate it when those get stuck in my head; happens all the time! There are quite a few advertisement jingles I'd consider to be awful, but these 3 are the worst in my opinion! rolleyes.gif: 

 

One song that keeps reappearing is from a local pest control company. I remember them advertising with this jingle when I was a little kid... they still use it today!  (Cooke's Pest Control)

"Lookie, Lookie, Lookie, Here Comes Cookie! Cooke's Pest Control"

 

And then there's the equally obnixious car jingle for a local dealership: (Home Skelton Auto Plex)

"We got good cars, good prices, feels good, feels right. Ohhhh ohhh ohhh, Homer Skelton Auto Plex!"
 

And who can forget the aweful Safe Auto jingle: (Safe Auto)

"1-800-SafeAuto, pick up the phone, the call is free, 1-800 Safe Auto! Play it safe, Safe Auto!"

I conveniently forgot that jingle!!! We used to have them, and I'm like "I swear I'm gonna drop them because of that flippin' jingle!" (Ended up dropping them to combine homeowners insurance with car insurance and needed full coverage for the Mustang).

It wasn't written for a commercial, but it sure is being used alot.... "Born To Be Wild" - used for the Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  I'm sooooooo sick of it now!!  And it sticks in my head and I can't get it out.....AAAAAAARGH!!dizzy.gif

Safeauto...coincedentally...thats my insurance company LOL

 

meow meow meow meow meow meow...LOL I get that stuck in my head all the time and Ill walk around the house meowing...I think that was the Meow Mix commercial. The funniest part..Tubbs and Abby will meow with me.
