Hello. I've been really concerned lately. I have two male cats, one of them is about 3 years old and the other one is about 1 year 4 months. The older one was fixed and the other one wasn't. They used to get along really well, sometimes they would play rougher (the little one used to tease the bigger one a lot), but it was never aggressive. One day, for no good reason, the little one started attacking the big one and it has been like that since then. After a few days without seeing any improvement, I decided to have him fixed too. It's been almost two weeks he's fixed, but he hasn't changed. I have to keep them both apart, otherwise things get ugly. Whenever the little one escapes to the room where the big one is, he will attack and pee on him!!! He usually stays for a long time just waiting for the opportunity to sneak in and fight the other one. The big one seems really stressed. In the beginning he was not eating well, but now he's back to normal.
I believe no changes happened in the house to cause this situation. The only thing that we changed was their food, about a week before everything started. I constantly check their litter boxes to make sure their pee or stool look normal, nothing unusual seems to have triggered this kind of behavior.
Could anyone please help me! I've been more stressed than the cats. I just want all of us to be back in peace!
Thank you!
