Good morning :sun: :D
I keep getting this pop-up along the bottom of my screeen, every page I go to. It is SO annoying. Is there anything I can do to make it go away??? :lol3: Here is what the pop-up says:

An add-on for this website failed to run"
I've reported it. What browser are you using?

Would definitely need more information to track this one down - what browser and browser version are you using?

Ok Stylish for Firefox works, somewhat (it's certainly not a perfect solution).

I assume Stylish for Chrome will work too.

You'll want to find global skins for changing the color scheme here.

Sorry Anne, but even after the color scheme tweeks, I was getting a migraine after 5 minutes of being on the site.

HI!!! OK, I use Internet Explorer. But decided to try Mozilla Firefox. I am not seeing that pop-up message on Firefox ! Odd HUH??? So I guess I will use Mozilla as my browser for TCS. That pop-up was really annoying. If you have any explanation why that would happen in Explorer, let me know!! :D Thanks for the help :hugs:

I went to firefox.com and clicked on the add-ons link.  Type "color" into the search box and look for "Color that site!" The video wasn't very helpful but once you download it there is a tutorial that takes you through the process step-by-step.  I still want to do some tweaking, but I got a useable color scheme in just a few minutes.

Stylish is a bit easier.

Once installed it reboots your browser then directs you to where you can download the color scheme of choice.

Choose a scheme, download it and it works, nothing to know or figure out, just two tiny downloads, self installing.

eta: Stylish is what I've been using to apply skins to facebook.

I set my notifications to "Site Only (no email)" which is what I had on TCS1.  However, I don't see where I can view my notifications.  On TCS1 if I went to my User Control Panel any of my subscribed thread that had new messages showed up there. I actually had that set as my home page.  I've tried my Profile, but that doesn't give me the subscriptions.  When I click on "subscriptions" it takes me to the page where I set my preferences.  So what link should I be looking for?

There is a link to subscriptions near the top of the page.

When you click on that link Jana just showed, do you see a white tab and blue links at the top under My Subscriptions for Activity, Forums, Threads and Edit My Subscriptions? You should just be able to click on whatever it is you want to view. You should also be able to access them under Forum Navigation --> Subscriptions.

I think there's a glitch with The New Cat on the Block...It's listed as Private, which would mean a person would have to be a paid subscriber to post there. Right? Shouldn't that be applied to the Premium Lounge instead?

I get the same thing..... But if you click on it,you can see the posts - thing is, it keeps you from clicking on it on the first place

Question: How do you see/start a new group? Where are the groups located? I can't seem to find them....

By the way, for those looking for skins, trying to change colors of the forum, I took Natalie_ca advice and installed Color That Site! add on to firefox - you can change your background and foreground colors - just make sure you go to settings and chose "Site" otherwise it will apply only to that page - anyways, here is what TCS is looking like for me now - much easier on the eyes, that's for sure.... :wavey:

Wow Carolina, that worked really well! :thud: I may have to try using that.
Yep, it really did! I tried to simulate the Facebook color scheme, since it is such a comfortable page to hang around, you know? My eyes are not straining at all... very comfortable look, really....

This really shouldn't be happening if you have the latest IE - an earlier version may cause this though. If you prefer to use IE and still see this message when using an up to date version, do let me know!

Firefox 7.0.1
Thank you! Will need to collect data from more users, to see if this has any relevance. It *shouldn't* be happening with FF 7.0.1 but you never know with computers

I'm glad those of you who found the color scheme bothersome found a solution - thanks for sharing that!

Today trying to quote people is a pain. It loads and loads and loads until I give up and have to back out of the page and re-quote. Pages have sped up a little, but TCS is still slower than it was before. :(

Also, is there a way to find out if people have thumbs up'd any of your posts? I think that would be a neat thing to look at.
