A nice family afternoon, pumpkin carving.....

Suffice to say things have been a mess around here for the last little while... so I decided the girls could use a break and we NEEDED to have some fun times.

Being the naughty mom I am, I let them stay home from school on Thursday, and we had a lazy morning, then did a little bit of grocery shopping and went on to finish our afternoon with pumpkin carving before Kendra had to go to work, and Kayleigh had an appointment.

Here's a few pics of our pumpkins, and my all girl family

First, setting up the self timer on the camera...I obviously wasn't fast enough LOL

Made it into this one

Eating homemade pumpkin bread while dissecting our pumpkins

The finished products:
Kayleigh and her pumpkin which she did all by herself ( I did the top )

Kendras

Mine
which originally was going to be a detailed cat, but I mistakenly carved out part that should have stayed in so instead I took the advice of my girls, flipped it around, and just carved this out, because....... Girls are awesome.

All 3 lit

All 3 not lit

I hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween.
Kendra has to work so me and Kayleigh will be going out. I just hope it doesn't rain.

Yah, Kendra does look like me, but thankfully she was blessed with her fathers height. She's about 5'8" and I'm 5'3 and she's so skinny, that definitely did not come from me lol..... Kay has more of my build.

Thanks to both of you.
Pumpkin carving is something me and the girls do every year it's our little tradition to always buy 3 pumpkins

great job on the pumpkins. The kids carved theirs yesterday. I usually get the job of removing pumpkin boogers . This year the kids did it themselves. I wish I had done one too.

I loved all three and those are really nice pics that you have uploaded. I really liked the one made my Kay; I didn’t know she is so talented for being so small. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful album of you three and pumpkins.
