Hi everyone, I would like to ask everyone to send get well vibes to one of my 5 month-old kittens, Bo. His mom, sister or brother has bitten him on the leg and he had to see the vet today.
I noticed he was limping yesterday afternoon, but it looked like a hind leg was tender. I figured he must have jumped off something and strained it and planned to take him to the vet this coming week. This morning he was favoring one of his front legs and really wasn't himself. Not interested in breakfast and just laying around. I took him to the vet this afternoon and she thought it was a sprain as well until she took his temperature. He definitely had a fever, so she said it must have been a bite and gave him anti-inflammatory and antibiotic injections.
Bo has been home for about 1 1/2 hours and already seems to have perked up. He came out of the carrier ready to eat and is walking more comfortably.
Please send vibes that he makes a speedy recovery and is back to his usual playful self.
Also, Bo and his brother have completely recovered from being neutered last week. I had another thread about their mom Scarlett freaking out and not recognizing them after they came home from surgery; I am happy to report that she is back to her usual self and there is no more drama!
