New cat!

Yesterday we drove 4 1/2 hours (one way) to adopt another Cornish Rex. His name was James and he's 4 years old. We're changing his name to Fig. We found out from his foster mom that he's a former show cat.

I had to corner him on top of a dresser to get a picture:

DH then came and helped but he still didn't want to sit still:

Head butts against the ear!

He's such an elegant looking kitty! Probably spooked by all the changes in his life - it'll take a little while for him to adjust and relax. Then I'm sure he'll be happy to pose for more pictures.

As a typical Rex he's not too stressed. He's met all the dogs and shows no fear. He climbs all over us purring. He's eating like a horse and using the litterbox. Our other Rex Frida is the same way. If we have company she has to be the center of attention.
