I filled out the adoption paperwork yesterday for a new cat (a 6 year old gray persian boy- SUCH a sweetie), but he's quite underweight. The staff at the rescue center told me that his favorite food there has been the Fancy Feast gravy flavors. I'd like to work him up to something a little more high quality. What brands/ flavors of gravy style foods do your kitties go nuts for?

What a sweet face!

I have three gravy-lovers, and two of their favorites are the chicken flavors of Weruva and Tiki Cat.

My underweight kitty Dusty has gained weight on Paws canned. Her favorite flavors are Beef & Liver and Chicken & Liver.

I second the Simply Nourish. It is very fresh smelling and looking too. Our cats LOVE it.

BTW - Thank you for taking in an older boy. He's beautiful!

What a handsome guy!

I don't know flavors for sure, but rather color labels on cans. My gravy-lovers enjoy:
-Soulistic (Petco brand) Good karma (green label) & something with a pinky/purple label in gravy
-BFF (yellow label)
-Solid Gold blended tuna
-Tiki cat
-Petite Cuisine (if they're in the mood for it - sometimes it gets snubbed)
-AvoDerm (3 oz cans)

I'll check it out! I'll be at petsmart anyways to pick up some of his favorite fancy feast so I'll grab some.

RAFM - I adopted my other cat as a kitten, and for kitty #2 I really wanted to get an adult... so many lovely older cats can't seem to get adopted.
At only about 6 years old though I figure he's got at least another good 10 years in him which is a long time!!

I forgot about Soulistic! My kitty I already have at home likes it so I've got a bunch of cans already. Thanks all for the ideas!

Also, with a gravy-lover myself (I'm about to give up on pate, since Crumb basically refuses it at this point...), we use AvoDerm, Soulistic, and they LOVE the Wellness brand Healthy Indulgence packets... haven't seen anyone mention them. I'm a big fan. There are a couple fish-free options, if you're going for fish free like I do. :)

Oh he is such a handsome little guy. Congratulations!

My babies also love gravy style wet food and it was really hard to find one they love. Any of the pate food, they would just lick the gravy and that was it. I started adding distilled water into the pate type foods and smashing it together with a fork. They loved it and it opened up options for food other than just gravy type foods. (plus the get some added water)
